The Falls

Bash Bish State Park is a stone throw away from the New York border, in the south-western corner of Massachusetts. There are several trails to get to the falls, one path that’s very flat and easy to traverse, the other that is very short but very steep. Either way you choose, the falls offer a spectacular scene; dropping over 60 feet into a sparkling pool of water.

The easier trail starts about a mile down the road from the main entrance to the falls. It’s a gradual incline and follows a small river where the water from the falls drains into. Taking this way to the falls makes a great outing for kids or those not wanting the difficulty of the more direct route.

The long way trail from NY side is NOT stroller friendly. It was difficult going through rocks and tree roots on uneven ground. Possible? – yes, but not recommended.

Also I don’t see how the MA side is any better, from what I saw there were only a steep slope with stairs leading to the falls. Again, NOT stroller friendly.
