The Bearsden Conversation Area in Athol, MA offers 10 miles of varied hiking trails. Gravel roads offer easier hiking, though the majority of the trails dive into the woods with more hilly terrain. Dogs are allowed, but Athol has a leash policy that applies in the Conservation area.

On your way to the Conservation area, you’ll pass by a beautiful overlook and Adams Farm store, which sells fresh sandwiches for after your hike. They also sell raise their own cows if you’re in the market for local beef.

Just beyond the parking area, a multi-use trail extends beyond a closed gate. This wide trail offers an easier hike through the Conservation area, and is perfect for cross country skiing.
