The Newgate Wildlife area is over 600 acres, located in East Granby, CT. The main trail is paved, traveling about 1 mile to the prison. There are several trail off-shoots that venture into the woods. The main paved trail is well maintained and is a great surface for stollers and bicycles.

 

 

The trail is usually very quiet, offering visitors a peaceful walk. The trail does pass some clear cut forest patches, taking away from its overall beauty, but overall offers a pleasant walk.
